The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School have announced that Eli Metzger is the May Student of the Month.

The Pemberville Mental Culture Club met at the Pemberville Library on April 9, with President Cindy Lohrbach calling the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Tracey Briggs moved to accept the minutes of the March meeting as presented. Second by Vickie Seifert. Motion carried. A balance of $461 was reported in the treasury.

Wood County community members 60 years and older are invited to participate in an online survey to understand the current and determine future needs of older adults in Wood County. The survey is entirely anonymous. To participate, survey responders must be 60 years or older and a resident of Wood County.

Group: Garden Group of Women’s Club of Bowling Green

Garden Group of Women’s Club of Bowling Green gathered on April 16 at the Summerfield Community Building for an interactive activity presented by Christine Wright, owner of ReFabbed Chaos. Members were invited to bring their own containers, select from a variety of succulent plants and create their own unique planter. As members assembled their planters, Co-President Susan Enright opened the meeting with each answering roll call by suggesting the best type of seed for feeding birds.

Bobcat Basics support

Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green recently pledged to annually donate $2,500 to the Bowling Green City Schools Bobcat Basics pantry. The pantry provides K-12 students toiletries, school supplies and non-perishable food items. In years past, Kiwanis donated funds for pre-school educational toys, new mascot uniforms, a Bobcat-a-Thon event and to various school clubs.
