Perrysburg seeks public input for Active Transportation Plan

PERRYSBURG — The City of Perrysburg is developing an Active Transportation Plan that will outline how to make it easier for residents and visitors to walk, bike and roll in the City. The plan will identify existing issues and propose solutions to help walkers, bikers and other travelers have a safer and more comfortable traveling experience.

A public workshop will be held on March 20 from 5-7 p.m. at the Schaller Memorial Building located at 130 W. Indiana Ave. to gather input.

Visitors will have the opportunity to review the existing conditions analysis, provide input on active transportation priorities, and identify key destinations, barriers, and gaps for walking, biking, and rolling in the city.

Those who are not able to attend the in-person workshop can fill out an online survey to provide similar input. A link will be provided on the city’s website at www.ci.perrysburg.oh.us.

The process for an Active Transportation Plan started in October 2023 and is expected to be completed at the end of July. The city received a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation that will cover 100% of the costs to complete the plan. Once completed, the plan will allow the city to apply for Safe Routes to School funding for projects that will make it easier to walk and bike to school.
