Knights crown two champions, Flyers one

OAK HARBOR — Lakota placed third, Lake placed fourth, Otsego sixth, Lake was tenth and Northwood 12th at the Division III sectional wrestling tournament Saturday.

Oak Harbor (224) won the team title, followed by Genoa (197½), Lakota (166), Lake (135), Port Clinton (128), Otsego (113), Woodmore (103), Fremont St. Joseph (47), Gibsonburg (46), Eastwood (44), Margaretta (31), Northwood (27) and Sandusky St. Mary (7).

Otsego junior Trevor Wilcox (33-4) won a 120-pound championship by pinning Genoa freshman Mikey Soto (30-8) in 2:41.

Otsego senior Lee Borders (35-5) took a 150-pound title with a 17-2 technical fall victory over Oak Harbor junior Tait Dusseau (22-18).

Lake junior Walker Howell (23-13) won a 175-pound championship by pinning Oak Harbor senior Broch Mansor (30-12) in 22 seconds.

Second place finishers in the lower weight classes were Eastwood junior Ian Reynold 25-4) at 106, Lake junior Vince Barton (31-10) at 126, Lakota sophomore Grant Bomer (28-16) at 138, Lakota junior Cody Biddle (32-13) at 144, and Lakota junior Case Paul (27-13) at 157.

Second place in the upper weight classes were Lakota sophomore Braxton Quiantance (34-8) at 165, Lakota senior Jon Rosas (28-15) at 190, Lake senior Ryan Ranes (22-12) at 215, and Northwood senior Joziah Smith (22-10) at 285.

Finishing third were Lakota sophomore Lane Thacker (35-12) at 126, Lakota sophomore Simon Roth (24-14) at 132 and Lakota junior Gabe Garlick (27-13) at 175.

Placing fourth was Lake sophomore Mason Snyder (27-12) at 106, Otsego sophomore Owen Kasza (27-12) at 126, Eastwood sophomore Gavin Shropshire (19-17) at 132, Otsego senior Caeden Henderson (20-12) at 138, Lakota senior Ethan Bomer (26-16) at 150, Otsego junior Diego Henderson (8-16) at 215, and Otsego freshman Adolfo Martinez-Alba (11-13) at 285.

Finishing in fifth place were Lakota freshman Jack Reyna (10-21) at 120, Lake sophomore Micah Balsmeyer (19-19) at 132, Northwood sophomore Santos Ayala (7-4) at 138, Lake senior Anthony Anzaldua (18-18) at 150, and Lake senior Isaiah Reeder (20-16) at 165.

Placing sixth were Lake freshman Brody Braton (3-13) at 120, Lake sophomore Anthony Adams (3-16) at 144, Eastwood sophomore Conner Norton (22-16) at 175, Lake senior Angelo Anzaldua (20-16) at 190, and Eastwood sophomore Colton Oberhouse (29-16) at 285.
