A locally owned auto repair service has a familiar face but a different name.
K&E Auto Repair, at 17743 N. Dixie Highway, was formerly Jerry’s Automotive and Towing, owned by
Jerry Herman
But when Herman decided to retire, long-time employee Kelly Courtney bought the business and renamed it.

He opened in December 2013.
Courtney, a 1999 Bowling Green High School graduate, earned his degree at Owens Community College in
2005.
He said since high school he’s wanted to own his own shop.
Born and raised in this area, Courtney said it made sense to go into business here. He worked for Herman
for 18 years.
Courtney estimated 90 percent of his customers are hold overs from when Herman ran the business.
He offers all automotive services, from suspension work, to engines, to transmissions, air conditioning
and brakes.
He employs two full-time mechanics.
K&E sets apart from other repairs shops because it’s locally owned and prices are lower because
of that.
He’s open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
