Reverse raffle supports scholarships

To the Editor:
For many years the Bowling Green Exchange Club, like several organizations within the city, has provided
scholarships to Bowling Green High School students
On May 3, the Exchange Club will hold its annual Reverse Raffle and Game Night, with the proceeds going
to support additional high school scholarships. The event, which is open to the public, will begin at 6
p.m. at the Simpson Garden Park.
Tickets, which include dinner, drinks and entertainment, are $75 and can be obtained from any Exchange
Club member or online at www.exchangeclubreverseraffle.eventbrite.com Persons wanting to purchase
tickets can also call Matt Karaffa at 419-354-2749 or Clif Boutelle at 419-352-5625.
The Exchange Club is proud of its record in supporting Bowling Green High School students’ educational
goals. In the past five years, Exchange Club has awarded $25,000 to 21 students. This year five students
each will receive $1,000 towards their college expenses.
The Reverse Raffle and Game Night has been well supported in the past and we are encouraging people to
participate in this event May 3 with their friends and neighbors and experience an evening of fun for a
good cause. We’ve noticed that people who join with others to attend always seem to have a great time.
We would like to see more of that.
The top prize will be $1,500 and an additional $1,000 will go to winners of various sideboard games that
will be part of the evening’s entertainment.
So, please consider supporting Bowling Green High School high school students by purchasing a ticket and
attending this event.
We know you will be happy you did.
