Liz Irick weds Jake Kohring

Liz Irick became the bride of Jake Kohring on
March 23 at Dayspring Assembly of God, Bowling Green.Pastor Scott Estep conducted the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.The
bride is the daughter of Doug and Cathy Irick, Rudolph. The groom is the son of Calvin and Darlene Kohring,
Pemberville.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lace and tulle slim line gown with V-neckline
and cap sleeves, and a champagne slip underneath with a long train.Kendra Slates of Bowling Green, sister of
the groom, was the matron of honor.Maid of honor was Rachel Irick, Rudolph, sister of the bride.Sara Fouts
and Lauren Holman, both of Bowling Green; Julie Jakubowski and Joanna Mendez, both of Rossford, were
bridesmaids. The attendants all wore strapless, knee-length pool blue dresses.Flower girls were Cambrie
Jones and Paislyn Metzger, both of Lima.Nehemiah Barnes, Perrysburg, and nephew of the groom Landon Slates,
Bowling Green, were ring bearers.Blake Kohring of Pemberville, brother of the groom, served as best
man.Groomsmen were Evan Slates, brother-in-law of the groom; Caleb Wenning and Logan Kirkendall, both of
Bowling Green; Jason Shank, Pemberville; and Alex Wilkerson, Perrysburg.Vocalists for the ceremony were Jana
and Jeremy Metzger and Amanda Valantine.A reception was held at Nazareth Hall, Grand Rapids, with music
furnished by Mark Montgomery.The couple took a wedding trip to the Hocking Hills of Ohio. The newlyweds will
make their home at Luckey.The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2007 and Bowling Green State
University in 2012 with a B.S. in Dietetics. She is currently a graduate student, completing a master’s
degree and combined internship in food and nutrition.The groom graduated from Eastwood High School in 2006,
from BGSU in 2010 with a B.S. in Exercise Science, and from the University of Findlay in 2012 with a
teaching license. He is presently employed as a physics and chemistry teacher at Northwood High School.
