HOUSTON (AP) — Macy’s landmark downtown Houston store has made its last sale.The 10-story Main
Street retail fixture closed 66 years after it opened as the Foley’s department store.Bythe time doors
were locked for the last time, rugs were selling at a 75percent discount and women’s wear was marked
down 70 to 80 percent.In 2000, Federated Department Stores rebranded Foley’s as Macy’s, another
department store chain owned by Federated.TheCincinnati-based chain, now called Macy’s Inc., announced
in Januarythat it would close the store when its lease expires this spring. Theowners plan to demolish
