ROSSFORD — The bowling season ended Friday for all three Wood County girls teams.
Hopes were high for both Bowling Green and Eastwood, which last weekend each won its sectional
tournament. Rossford also had a respectable showing at the sectional.
Three of the top four teams at the district tournament held at Interstate Lanes came from the third
sectional field. Coldwater was the class of the event, easily winning by more than 300 pins over its
nearest challenger.
Bowling Green finished fifth in the 18-team event, Eastwood was eighth, and Rossford was 17th.
Coldwater shot a 2,960 total in the regulation games and coasted to a 4,023-pin total after six Baker
games. St. Mary’s finished second at 3,693.
Those two teams will represent the Northwest Ohio district at the state tournament next week in Columbus.

BG’s new Northern Lakes League rival, Napoleon, finished third at 3,496. Wapakoneta was fourth at 3,355.

The Bobcats struggled on the lanes in the early going, rolling only 2,397 for the regulation games. The
team finished at 3,323.
Alicia Noon led BG and was 12th overall in the field with her 560 series. She opened with a 238 game.
Denise Miller was 16th in the field with a 195 high game for a 541 set. Kelsey Parker had a 201 game in
her 507 set.
Hannah Cook led Eastwood’s effort, a 3,297 total. Cook had a 184 high game in her 517 set. Jessica Young
bowled a 175 for 493. Kat Przybylski had a 172, 476. Harley Vaught added a 190 game for the Eagles.
Rossford totaled 2,850. Amina Schahzadi led the Bulldogs with a 475. Blake Romstadt shot 460.
Individual medalist honors went to Jenna Wenning of Coldwater with 648. She was followed closely by her
teammate, Emily Bruns at 641. In addition to the top two teams, the district also advances two
individuals from non-advancing teams. Those state berths went to Taylor Rickard of Bryan who shot 636,
and Napoleon’s Victoria Gonzales with a 601.
