Girls sectional roundup: Rossford posts win (for 2-27-12)

Rossford overcame a 21-18 deficit entering the fourth quarter to pull out the sectional title with a
33-31 win over Maumee on Saturday.
In other sectional title games Saturday it was:
Division I: Bowling Green 66, Anthony Wayne 50; and Perrysburg 55, Findlay 34;
Division II: Clyde 79, Eastwood 28;
Division III: Lake 46, Lakota 33; Liberty-Benton 74, Otsego 42; and Evergreen 62, Elmwood 39.
DIVISION II
At Bowsher High School
Rossford 33, Maumee 31
In Toledo, Courtney Morris and Margo Jackson each scored nine points to lead Rossford, now 13-8 overall.
Alaina Mitchell added eight points for the Bulldogs.
Rossford moves on the district semifinals Thursday at Clay High School against Bellevue at 6:15 p.m.
Lindsay Sayre led Maumee (6-16) with 11 points.
DIVISION II
At Fostoria High School
Clyde 79, Eastwood 28
In Fostoria, Clyde scored 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters on the way to the win
over Eastwood.
Amanda Cahill led Clyde with 24 points.
Courtney Rolf scored 12 points for Eastwood.
The Eagles finish 7-15.
DIVISION III
At BGHS
Liberty-Benton 74, Otsego 42
At Bowling Green High School, Liberty-Benton out-scored Otsego, 25-5 in the first quarter on the way to
the sectional victory.
Catie Craft led L-B with 25 points.
Morgan McCullough led Otsego with 11 points.
The Knights finish 12-10.
Evergreen 62, Elmwood 39
At Bowling Green High School, Evergreen started quickly and went on the beat Elmwood in the sectional
title game.
Lauren Langenderfer scored 22 points for Evergreen.
Sierra Beckford scored 14 points for Elmwood.
The Royals finish 13-9.
