Ohio whipped by winds in 50 mph range

CLEVELAND (AP) — High winds howling across Ohio have left scattered power outages in their wake.
The
National Weather Service says winds approaching 50 mph were recorded
Wednesday evening across northern Ohio. A gust at Toledo Express Airport
was clocked at 55 mph.
FirstEnergy Corp. reported that power was
out Thursday morning for as many as 4,100 customers sprinkled throughout
in the region.
In southwest Ohio, the weather service reports
winds late Wednesday afternoon knocked a tree 2 feet in diameter onto a
house in the Dayton area. No injuries were reported.
