Packers release Briggs
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Former Bowling Green Falcon Diyral Briggs has been released by the Green Bay Packers.
He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Packers last season.
Briggs appeared in five regular-season contests and all four playoff games for the Packers in 2010 and
registered eight tackles on special teams during the regular season. He was claimed off waivers by Green
Bay from Denver on Oct. 26, 2010.
BGSU women’s soccer picked fifth in MAC East
CLEVELAND – The Bowling women’s soccer team has been picked to finish fifth in the Mid-American
Conference East in voting by the league coaches.
Miami was picked to win the East regular-season title, while Toledo was picked to win the West. The 2011
season marks the second year that a divisional format has been utilized for MAC women’s soccer.
Miami received nine of the 12 East first-place votes, while Toledo received seven such votes in the West.

In the East, Miami received 68 total points in the voting, followed by Akron (56), Kent State (43), Ohio
(40), BGSU (31) and Buffalo (14).
Toledo received 65 votes in the West, followed by Central Michigan (62), Western Michigan (43), Eastern
Michigan (41), Northern Illinois (21) and Ball State (20).
UT was also selected by the coaches to win the 2011 MAC tournament with six votes. CMU received two votes
to win the tourney, while Miami, WMU, EMU and Ball State each received one.
