Brats and kraut dinner at Bradner
BRADNER – The American Legion Post at 209 W. Crocker will hold a bratwurst and sauerkraut dinner Saturday
from 4 to 7 p.m.
Dinner also include corn on the cob, potato salad and dessert. The cost is $7.50.
BGSU is topic for Kiwanis mtg.
Thomas Hiles, the vice president for university advancement at Bowling Green State University and the
president of the BGSU Foundation, will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon on Thursday at
Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Hiles will address BGSU programs as the university prepares to begin a new academic year and a second
century of existence.
Hiles moved to BGSU from Western Kentucky University 15 months ago. He has more than 20 years of
experience in development and advancement.
Sharing Hands meal is Monday
LUCKEY – Sharing Hands is serving a free meal on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post No.
240, located at 335 Park Drive in Luckey.
The meals will be served on the fourth Monday of every month. Everyone is welcome.
Portage Twp. sets special mtg.
PORTAGE – Portage Township Trustees will hold a special meeting on Friday at 4 p.m. at the township hall,
corner of Huffman and Mermill roads.
The purpose is to discuss the shelter house at the park located next to the township building.
Perrysburg cancels meeting
PERRYSBURG – The meeting of the Personnel Committee of Perrysburg City Council, originally scheduled for
Aug. 23, has been canceled.
Legion’s County Council meets
Wood County Council, American Legion, will meet on Tuesday at the Bradner American Legion Post. The
meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
All Wood County Legionnaires are encouraged to attend.

ODOT plans roadwork
Beginning Monday and running through Sept. 19, Ohio 65 at Ohio 64 will be closed for intersection
improvements.
According to the Ohio Department of Development, the detour will be Route 64, to Ohio 582, then Route 65.

Additionally, at this time, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Route 64 at Route 65. Lane
widths will be 10 feet in the work zone.
Also beginning Monday, Ovitt Road will be closed during construction. Local access will be maintained.

The roadwork is expected to be complete in November, according to ODOT.
