PERRYSBURG — Frank Elementary School has developed an award to honor a former student.
On Feb. 17, Perrysburg High School graduate Bradley Hart lost his life while performing official military
duties. Hart was a member of the Army’s Special Forces serving as staff sergeant. He was a former
student of Frank Elementary and is remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of working with him
as a compassionate student who made the extra effort to do the right thing.
As a tribute to Hart, Frank Elementary has developed the Bradley Hart Service & Citizenship
Award. The award recognizes one fifth-grade student annually who does what is expected of him or her,
demonstrates empathy and compassion to peers and can be counted on to do the right thing.
The selection committee chose Maya Keeton as the inaugural winner of this award. Maya is the daughter of
Jason and Tifanie Keeton.
This award was made possible by a donation from the Frank Parents’ Club.
