PERRYSBURG – Council last week approved a bid for additional pavement resurfacing work in the city.
Members unanimously approved a nearly $223,000 agreement with Bowers Asphalt for a resurfacing project
that will encompass Fort Meigs Road between Ohio 65 and Eckel Junction Road, and also alleviate issues
at the intersection of Williams Road and Ohio 25, especially the northbound lanes, concerning semi
trucks turning in the area.
Bowers had the lowest bid on the project, and was approximately $36,000 lower than the next bid, City
Administrator John Alexander said at a Service-Safety Committee meeting held prior to the council
meeting.
At Council, Mayor Nelson Evans noted that a joint resurfacing project with Perrysburg Township on Eckel
Junction Road between Ohio 199 and Thompson Road was also recently completed.
