Library board retreat Saturday
The Wood County District Public Library Board will hold a retreat Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the
board room of the library.
The focus of the retreat is reviewing and updating the strategic plan.
The board does plan to go into a brief executive session to discuss personnel matters. No action will be
taken.
BG Civil Service meets Monday
Bowling Green’s Civil Service Commission will meet Monday to deal with matters regarding Bowling Green’s
next chief of police.
The commission must establish a passing score for the examination that was administered Feb. 25 and
certify a list of three names eligible for promotion to chief.
The commission may also take action to modify job descriptions, accept new job descriptions and/or accept
new job classifications into the classification system.
The 10 a.m. meeting will be held in the Personnel Department of the City Administrative Services
Building, 304 N. Church St.
Pemberville OKs summer pacts
PEMBERVILLE – Village Council approved a contract for mosquito spraying and another regarding mowers
Tuesday night.
Mosquito spraying will be conducted at least six times, at $237 per application. Extra applications can
be added at the same price.
The village will enhance its mower contract by increasing the cutting width of one of its two units.
Council member Eric Campbell said the larger machine was recommended because the village will be mowing
10 additional acres this year.
The changes adds about $900 to the mower contract.
