Wyoming names Brandon offensive coordinator
LARAMIE, Wyo. — Former Bowling Green Falcon head football coach Gregg Brandon was named offensive
coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Wyoming, the school announced Friday.
He was BG’s head coach from 2003-2008. During that six-year span, Brandon led the Falcons to three bowl
appearances and four winning seasons, including an 11-3 season in 2003, a 9-3 mark in 2004 and an 8-5
campaign in 2007. In four of his six seasons as head coach, his teams averaged over 400 yards of total
offense.
Brandon is returning to Wyoming where he was the wide receivers coach from 1987-90. He was a member of
the coaching staff of the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League last season.
Bowling Green is scheduled to host Wyoming on Sept. 17, 2011.
Falcon swimmers fall to Michigan State
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Bowling Green’s women’s swimming and diving team closed out its regular season with
a 169-129 loss at Michigan State Friday.
BG’s Alexa Harris took first in the 100-backstroke (58.9) and the 200-backstroke (2:06.6).
Alexis Kain also won two events, the 100-breastroke (1:04.0) and the 200-breastroke (2:19.8).
Other individual winners for the Falcons were: Andrea Brown, 200-freestyle, 1:56.2; and Vicky Yu,
200-butterfly, 2:04.1;
BG will compete in the Mid-American Conference championship meet Feb. 23-26 at Ohio University.
BG women’s tennis loses
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Bowling Green’s women’s tennis team as a 7-0 loser Friday to Michigan State. The
Falcons are 4-2 overall, while MSU improved to 3-1.
Northwood-Danbury boys game rescheduled
NORTHWOOD – The Danbury at Northwood boys basketball game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been
rescheduled to Feb. 23.
The game was postponed due to inclement weather.
