Jason Patrick Stoots, 35, passed away in Longmont, Colorado on November 6, 2009.
Jason was born in Toledo, on April 6, 1974, to David and Mary (Bolles) Stoots.
He was a graduate of Bowling Green High School, where he lettered in swimming and was on the Gators swim
team. He received his B.S. from Mount Vernon Nazarene College and earned a Master’s degree in counseling
in 1999 from Bowling Green State University.
Jason was an active member of the Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene. He lived his beliefs, working at
a camp for inner city students in Cincinnati, taking courses at a Bible college in Florida and was an
involved participant in two churches in Colorado.
Jason worked as a counselor at several agencies in Ohio and Colorado and was a home provider for adults
with developmental disabilities.
Jason is survived by his parents, David (Ellin) Stoots of Bowling Green and Mary Bolles of Colorado; his
sister, Julie; and brothers, Jeff and Jared; and his grandfather, Richard Stoots.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on Sunday (November 22, 2009) at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. Scott Estep will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 408 W. Wooster St. (located in the Historical
District of Bowling Green).
