LUCKEY – President Shirley Davis opened the Oct. 7 meeting with 14 members present. Dorothy Daman and
Rosemarie Heilman advanced flags, Chaplain Lila James gave prayer and Marilyn Gottschalk was at the
piano.
Ruth Peters, VA&R chairman, thanked Art and Isabelle Helm, Joel and Shirley Davis for serving
coffee the first and third Mondays of the month at the V.A. Clinic in Toledo.
James reported on the District School of Instruction at Wauseon. Department President Martha Lee’s theme
is "Communication is Key." Junior members took a donation for the Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
The Department Convention will be July 20, 2010 in Toledo.
The Luckey fall festival netted between $1,350 and $1,400, Becky Dippman, chairman, reported.
A gift of $100 was received from Dale and Barbara Bockbrader in memory of Mildred’s birthday, to be
placed in the Girls State fund.
Dippman, children and youth chairman for 2008, received a plaque from Central Division.
Betty Briggs won the door prize. She and Dippman served the lunch of homemade pumpkin cookies and ice
cream.
The next meeting will be Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
