The following events will take place the week of Aug. 3-7 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main
St., Bowling Green.
MONDAY
9 a.m. Get Fit- Exercise by video
11:30 a.m. Lunch and Learn program: "Guardianship" – Staten Middleton, attorney
12 p.m. Lunch: Country fried steak or cabbage roll
1-4 p.m. Cards: Contract Bridge and Euchre
TUESDAY
9 a.m. Breakfast Club: Bob Evans in Bowling Green; registration required
11 a.m. Tour: Allen County Museum – advance registration required
11:30 a.m. Program: "Going Green and Saving Money" – Lisa Myers, WCCOA
12 p.m. Lunch: Chicken & Dumplings or pepper steak
3:30 p.m. Get Fit – Exercise by video
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Corned beef, boiled potatoes
6 p.m. Program: Dominoes
WEDNESDAY
9 a.m. Get Fit – Exercise by video
11:15 a.m. Program: "Meet the Chiefs" – Bowling Green Police Chief Gary L. Spencer and Fire

ADVANCE PLANNING
Intergenerational Day Camp: "Caring for the World’s Families" Aug. 13, Rotary Nature Center,
Wintergarden Road. All-day event for grandparents and grandchildren ages 5-12. Cost is $5 per
participant. Registration required.
Trip: Schedel Gardens near Elmore: Aug. 11. Golf carts will be provided due to the size of the 17-acre
grounds. Registration required, only room for 11 on the bus. Others are free to carpool.
Trip: Bass Pro Shop: Aug. 18, Leave Elder Beerman at 9:30 a.m. Cost: $2, Lunch on own at Cracker Barrel.
Tour the endless outdoor adventure store. Registration required, as there is only room for 11 passengers
on the bus. Others are free to carpool behind the bus. Trip limited to 20 people.
Facebook: All county senior centers and WCCOA are now members of Facebook. This social networking website
will allow seniors to communicate with friends at other sites, post pictures of site events and stay
connected with family. Chris Biggins, AmeriCorps, will set up clinics at local sites to educate seniors
on how to use this timely communication system. Dates are as follows: Monday, Aug. 3 at North Baltimore,
12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Perrysburg, 12:30 p.m., and Thursday, Aug. 13 at Bowling Green, 1 p.m.
