SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Rob Blake is staying with the Sharks.
San Jose signed the defenseman to a one-year contract on Thursday, bringing the veteran back for his 19th
NHL season a year after he had 35 assists and 10 goals for the Sharks.
The 39-year-old Blake recorded his 500th assist on Jan. 9. He has played 1,200 career games with the Los
Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche and the Sharks, who signed him last offseason as a free agent.
Blake played college hockey at Bowling Green State University.
Financial details were not released by the team.
