Amber Marie Rath and Scott Matthew Schutt were married April 25 in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at St. James
Lutheran Church, Toledo. Pastor Brad Olnhausen officiated.
The bride’s parents are mother Cindy Tyree, Haskins; father Douglas Rath, Bowling Green, and stepfather
Timothy Tyree, Bowling Green.
The groom’s parents are Norman and Janice Schutt, Lambertville, Mich.
All three parents gave the bride away.
The harpist for the ceremony was Christina Muntz.
The bride’s dress was white satin and an organza A-line with side-draped bodice and beaded pink metallic
embroidery. It had a chapel-length train.
The matron of honor was Jill Holland, Wayne.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Spitler, Nicole Wagner and Andrea Miller, all of Bowling Green.
All wore a black European satin, strapless floor-length gown. Wide light-pink ribbon accents at the waist
and slight back sweep.
The junior bridesmaid was Allyncie Tyree, sister of the bride. She wore a short sleeveless light pink
satin dress with V-neck and ruched organza sash at waist.
The best man for his brother was Mark Schutt. Groomsmen were Joe Albring, Petersburg, Mich.; Mike
Shrader, Canton, Mich.; Norman Schutt, Toledo, brother of the groom; and Kyle Rath, Bowling Green,
brother of the bride.
The ringbearers were Kasey Schutt, Toledo, nephew of groom and Andrew Holland, Wayne.
Flower Girl Grace Dickson of Bowling Green wore a white dress with light pink sash around waist.
The reception was held at the Sullivan Center, Toledo. The DJ was Doug Michaelis.
The couple honeymooned in June to Riviera Maya, Mexico

The groom graduated from Bedford High School in 1997 and attended University of Toledo. He is employed
with MTS Seating in Temperance, Mich., as an account executive.
The bride graduated from Otsego High School in 1998 and from Bowling Green state University in 2003 with
a bachelor’s degree in education, and in 2006 from BGSU with master’s degree. She is an intervention
specialist at Liberty Center Middle School.
