Holiday doesn’t affect Perrysburg pick-up
PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg’s refuse, recycle and yard waste will not be delayed this week.
The normal Friday pick up will occur on Friday. However, the Street Division offices will be closed on
Friday and will reopen on Monday at 7 a.m.
Boy hospitalized after bike accident
GRAND RAPIDS – A boy reportedly about 12 years old was injured in a bicycle accident at East Second and
Bridge streets early Wednesday afternoon.
Apparently the boy fell off the bicycle. No motor vehicle was believed to be involved.
The boy was transported to a Toledo hospital by air ambulance.
Wood County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene but a full report on the incident and the identity
of the youth were not available this morning.
Church holds food distribution
The free food distribution and senior food box program will be held Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at First
United Methodist, 1526 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.
Rudolph cancels July recycling
RUDOLPH – Due to the Independence Day holiday Saturday, there will be no recycling in Rudolph. Recycling
will resume the first Saturday in August.
Perrysburg man gets 9-year sentence
Ryan M. Davlin, 32, of Simmons Road, Perrysburg, was recently sentenced to nine years in prison and fined
$4,000 for charges involving sexual offenses.
Davlin entered guilty pleas before Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Reeve Kelsey. He was sentenced to
five years and four years in prison for the two counts of gross sexual imposition; and 10 days in the
Wood County jail for an additional count of domestic violence. Through the plea agreement, the first
count was amended from the original rape charge, and a charge of disrupting public services was
dismissed at sentencing.
Davlin must also register as a Tier III sexual offender. The charges stemmed from a Sept. 21, 2008
incident in Perrysburg.
