To the Editor: Cutting library $ hurts our citizens

Slashing library funds is like slitting your throat to stop the bleeding from your wrists.
Our libraries, and particularly our Wood County District Public Library, a gem of our community, are
educational and cultural bulwarks.
They are a major means of economic advancement for our citizens. They are therefore potentially the
source of the very tax funds we need to generate. Stifle the libraries and you stifle taxable income.

As citizens we need to do everything we can to re-direct our state government from its plan to cut
funding from libraries.
