ROSSFORD – John Pustay, 88, of Gulfport, Miss., and formerly of Rossford, died May 11, 2009.
An Air Force veteran, he served during World War II as an aerial engineer.
He was an appliance repairman for many years.
Mr. Pustay was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He also enjoyed gardening and photography, and was seldom seen
without his cameras.
Born June 10, 1920 in Indiana County, Pa., to Steve and Theresa (Valkovszki) Pustay, he married Marilyn
Hill and she preceded him in death.
He also was preceded by two brothers, Mike and George; and two sisters, Theresa Moore and Helen Radocy.

Surviving are a daughter, Dana Gordon; three sons, David, Terry and Tom; a sister, Dolly Dobbins; 11
grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, followed by a
memorial celebration at Rossford United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
