Before then there were 13 weight classes, an era that started in 1971, which was the first year of the boys’ state wrestling tournament having multiple divisions (Class AAA and Class A-AA).
6 Jackets win district, 10 qualify to state
PERRYSBURG — In a Division I district meet that Perrysburg hosted Saturday, the Yellow Jackets had six individual champions and qualified 10 wrestlers to the Division I state meet next weekend.

Perrysburg had nine wrestlers reach the finals of its own Perrysburg Invitational Tournament Saturday with six winning championships as the Yellow Jackets easily won the team championship.
