A city man was held in the Wood County jail this morning, accused of restraining a woman and sexually
assaulting her at a Fairview Avenue apartment over the weekend.
Police received report of the incident at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Manor Apartments in the 1000
block of Fairview.
According to Maj. Tony Hetrick, Bowling Green police responded to the initial report of a domestic
violence situation at the scene.
The female victim indicated that Jhon Rosado, 24, BG, had entered the apartment during the previous night
and held her against her will, duct-taping her mouth and tying her with rope. He then allegedly sexually
assaulted her.
After Rosado reportedly passed out subsequent to taking medication, the female said she used a knife to
cut herself free and took herself and her children out of the apartment.
Hetrick said there is a history between Rosado and the female, and it is not a random incident.
Rosado remained incarcerated this morning on one count of rape and one count of aggravated burglary.
He was to make an initial court appearance today.
