A man accused of assault yelled at the judge as he was led out of the courtroom after being arraigned on his charges.

Tyler Brogan, 33, Luckey, yelled “You made a mistake, Molly” to Wood County Common Pleas Judge Molly Mack. He continued to yell and make threats as he left the courtroom Monday.

From January to April, Brogan allegedly made in excess of 80 unsubstantiated reports of various suspicious activities to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, which caused substantial expenditure of resources and manpower, according to court documents.

Brogan had been warned on multiple occasions that he was making claims of incidents that were not substantiated, according to the documents.

When deputies showed up at his home of April 26, he allegedly resisted being escorted to the patrol vehicle by going ‘dead weight,” lifting his feet off the ground, attempting to fall to the ground and attempting to trip deputies.

According to court documents, Brogan kicked one deputy in the leg while being escorted to the patrol vehicle and head butted a second deputy in the chest while being placed in the vehicle.

He was indicted May 15 for assault, a fourth-degree felony; making false alarms, a first-degree misdemeanor; and resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.

At his arraingment Monday, all phone privileges at the jail were denied except with his attorney and family members.
