Lake Twp. to resurface roads

MILLBURY — The Lake Township Board of Trustees announced at its meeting May 7 that it planned to resurface three roads.

The township roads out for resurfacing are: Byington Circle, length 0.1 mile; Lemoyne Road from Walbridge Road to the Northwood city limits, length 1 mile; and Bradner Road from Ayers Road to Ohio 570, length 2 miles.

Bids will be open June 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Also at the meeting, it was announced:

• A fire took place May 3 at First Solar, with a total of eight departments at the scene. The fire was stopped under an hour with just 2,000 square feet of damage to the roof.

• The fire department spoke to over 200 students as part of the Sound Off project.

• At the recent spaghetti dinner fundraiser, $2,020 was raised for the rire/EMS department.

• Beginning on May 24, food trucks will be in the Lake Township Administration Hall parking lot every Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• The Jeff Pettit Memorial Car Show for Wreaths Across America will be held May 25. Rain date is May 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast will be held in the Lake Township Administration Hall from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

• Music in the Park will begin on June 14 and end on Aug. 9.

• Free woodchips are available at the road department on Ayers Road. Call 419-836-1143.

• The next board meeting will take place on Tuesday in the Administrative Hall at 5:30 p.m.
