A man from Luckey has been indicted for multiple counts of sexual battery.
A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Charles Griffith, 44, for 10 counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies and all with a sexually violent predator specification; and one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony.
According to court documents, Griffith engaged in sexual conduct with a juvenile.
When questioned on April 30, the alleged victim, who is 16 years old, told Wood County sheriff deputies that Griffith had started sexually touching her about a year ago.
On May 3, the mother of the alleged victim called law enforcement to report Griffith had admitted to doing everything the alleged victim accused him of.
The indictment lists the alleged offenses occurred between March 1 and July 31, 2023.
Griffith also is accused of selling or providing a juvenile or a law enforcement officer posing as a juvenile material that is obscene.
Griffith was arrested and taken to jail, where he remains.
