Robert William Eckert, 63, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away May 15, 2024.
He was born July 2, 1960 in Bowling Green to William and Kathryn “Ann” (Schaffner) Eckert.
Bob was a 1978 graduate of Bowling Green High School. He owned and operated Robert Eckert Professional Painting in Bowling Green for over 45 years.
He loved music and played guitar in various bands since the age of 15. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. His greatest joy were his children and grandchildren and he was especially proud to be a Navy dad.
He is survived by his mother Kathryn Ann Sardeson of Bowling Green, significant other Emily Meeks of Bowling Green, sons Trevor (Gabrielle) Eckert of Norfolk, Virginia and Benjamin Eckert of Brainerd, Minnesota, brother Jim (Gloria) Eckert of Bowling Green, sister Kathleen (Michael) Tafelski of Perrysburg, his grandchildren Sophia, Joshua and Aaron as well as 7 nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his father William Eckert.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday May 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Portage Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
