The Bowling Green Memorial Day Observance Committee is seeking community units to march in the Memorial Day Parade to be held at 10 a.m. on May 27. The committee is seeking veteran groups, scouting groups, and other groups offering patriot tribute to veterans; and convertibles to transport veterans needing assistance.
The parade forms up at the BG Post Office at 9:30 a.m., steps off at 10 a.m., and concludes with a ceremony at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The committee is seeking volunteers to decorate Memory Gardens Cemetery and Oak Grove Cemetery on May 18. Flags will be placed on veterans’ graves starting with Memory Gardens at 10 a.m. and concluding with Oak Grove Cemetery at 1 p.m.
