The 2024 paving project associated with the use of ARPA funds and the paving of residential roads is set to begin Thursday.
This start date is weather dependent.
Contractors plan to begin with the removal and replacement of curb ramps along Pearl Street, between Wintergarden Road and Church Street. Beginning the week of May 22, while concrete work on Pearl Street is ongoing, milling and paving of Sand Ridge Road, between Wintergarden Road and Maple Street, will commence.
Once Sand Ridge Road is complete, paving crews will mill and pave Pearl Street. Lane restrictions and closures at intersections will be necessary as this work progresses.
This schedule is dependent on weather and progress of work.
Mayor Mike Aspacher and city council previously allocated ARPA funds toward the paving of residential roads throughout the city. This is occurring over a three-year period – 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The contract completion date for this portion of the project is October 2024.
