Rossford names interim fire chief

ROSSFORD – The City of Rossford has announced that with the retirement of fire Chief Josh Drouard, Assistant Fire Chief Andrew Vascik has been named interim fire chief.

Vascik has served in the role of assistant fire chief since December and prior to that he held the ranks of captain and lieutenant within the department. He started with the department in 2001.

Vascik is a fulltime firefighter/paramedic with Springfield Township Fire Department where he currently holds the rank of lieutenant, now acting battalion chief.

Drouard’s last day was Tuesday. He had served on the department since 1987.
