Toledo man taken to jail after resisting arrest

On Sunday around 9:49 a.m., Bowling Green police were advised of an automated license plate hit on a vehicle.

Jamie Gonzales, 55, Toledo, was wanted on a warrant and resisted arrest. Gonzales was taken to jail.

Gonzales drove his vehicle into a parking lot on the 1600 block of East Wooster Street and was stopped by police when he attempted to leave, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Gonzales was told several times to exit the vehicle but refused. Officers reached into the driver’s seat area from the rear passenger seat and pushed Gonzales off to the side. Officers were able to open the driver’s door.

Gonzales fought with police and refused to get on the ground.
