‘Missing’ person found in Toledo

The Bowling Green Police were called to the report of a missing adult Thursday morning.

According to the Bowling Green Police Division report, a mother called police, expressing concern that someone else had her daughter’s phone because the text messages she was receiving did not sound like her daughter.

Dispatch then pinged the daughter’s phone, which was in the area of Freeman Street in Toledo. The mother told police that she was dropping off a friend on Bancroft Street, which was a block away from where the phone was pinged.

After the mother again expressed concern that someone else had the cell phone, police checked the area and a short time later located the missing person.
