A Rossford man accused of rape has pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

Michael Roe, 52, appeared Feb. 28 in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Matt Reger.

He pleaded guilty to the amended charges of sexual battery, a third-degree felony; and gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony.

He will have to register as a Tier III sex offender, which will require him to register every 90 days for life.

Roe had indicted in August for two counts of rape, both first-degree felonies, after being accused of sexual offenses that occurred in 2017 and 2021.

Sentencing was scheduled for April 16.
