A Bowling Green man has pleaded guilty to pandering obscenity involving a minor.

Jean Mulero Rodriguez, 21, appeared Thursday in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Joel Kuhlman.

With the assistance of an interpreter, Rodriguez pleaded guilty to two counts of pandering. Two similar charges will be dismissed at sentencing.

On Aug. 15, the Bowling Green Police Division received a report from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children data system of a detailed report from Snapchat that had been sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a user account traced back to Rodriguez.

Rodriguez used a Snapchat account twice on May 9 to publish obscene material involving a minor as a participant.

Kuhlman said he could impose consecutive prison sentences for a total of 16-20 years.

Rodriguez will have to register as a Tier II sexual offender, which will require him to register every 180 days for 25 years.

Sentencing was scheduled for April 11.
