CLEVELAND – On Monday, the Mid-American Conference announced the men’s basketball MAC Player of the Week recipient is Bowling Green’s Marcus Hill, a junior guard from Rockford, Ill.
This marks the fourth time this season that Hill has received the recognition and the fifth time for a Falcon. Rashaun Agee was named a Co-Player of the Week once earlier this season.
Hill was a key piece in BGSU’s upset win over the rival Toledo Rockets Friday night. Hill tallied a team-high 31 points for the Falcons, his third 30-point game this season, while shooting 45.8% from the field.
He added a 9-of-11 day at the free throw line in the effort and recorded six rebounds. As for the game against Central Michigan, Hill registered 15 points for BGSU while nearly logging a double-double with eight rebounds. Hill tallied a block in each game as well, now with at least one in three straight games.
Bowling Green will remain at home for their next contest, hosting Miami on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. start at the Stroh Center. The Falcons have just two home games left on the schedule, also hosting Ball State in the regular season finale on March 8.
