Beverly Jeanne Johnston (Jeanne), 88, of Perrysburg, Ohio reunited with both her father and mother, Laird E. and Mabel M. (Jeffers), brother, Laird E., and much beloved pets in heaven on December 15th, 2023.
Jeanne lived a life full of compassion, devoted to helping others, that began in Grand Rapids, Ohio in December 1934. Jeanne attended Ohio State University and The University of Michigan and worked as a registered nurse for 32 years before retiring, but her commitment to assist continued every day of her life. Whether it were animals, including the pets fortunate enough to be rescued by her, or her friends and family, Jeanne always did her very best to make their world better.
Jeanne loved to travel with family and friends, and spent countless hours smiling in the driver’s seat of her many station wagons, all named “Roamer.” Jeanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterville.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Susan K. Johnston of Birmingham, Michigan, nephews Scott L. Johnston (Amy Perry), Christopher L. Johnston (Caro) of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, Kent E. Johnston (Shantih) of Birmingham, Michigan and Grant E. Johnston of Ferndale, Michigan, as well as numerous cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Waterville, Ohio.
