PERRYSBURG — Zoar Lutheran Church is celebrating and preserving its history with two special events that are open to the public.

Zoar’s beautiful brick building has been a cornerstone of Perrysburg, and is filled with gorgeous stained glass windows. Their history is rich as they have been a part of the Perrysburg landscape since 1917. As Zoar kicks off a campaign to preserve and restore their history, Zoar Lutheran Church would like to invite the public to explore the beauty of their stained glass up close.

On Saturday at 8 p.m., Zoar is hosting a flashlight tour of its beautiful stained glass windows. Guests will meet in the church lobby and head to the sanctuary as a group for a narrated tour. All will enjoy almost total darkness while only the stained-glass windows are illuminated. The first 50 people who attend will receive a mini flashlight.

The church is located at 314 E. Indiana Ave.

On Nov. 4 at 7:30 p., Zoar will be hosting A Touch of Glass Concert featuring members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The evening will begin in the Gathering Space at 7:30 with mocktails and appetizers. Guests will then move up to the lit sanctuary for a one hour concert featuring musicians of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. The seating will be first come, first served. A free will donation will be collected in support of the Zoar Stained Glass Window Restoration Campaign.
