Ward 1 constituent meeting is tonight

Bowling Green Councilmembers Jeff Dennis (At-Large) and Nick Rubando (Ward 1) will be hosting a quarterly Ward 1 constituent meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Biggby Coffee. All are welcome to attend.

The purpose of this meeting will be to hear from residents about their priorities and concerns and give them another opportunity to share feedback. Councilmembers Dennis and Rubando will also share information and answer any questions about ongoing initiatives.

Residents who cannot attend the forum or would like to provide feedback in advance are encouraged to email [email protected] or [email protected].

BG fire division hosts open house

The Bowling Green Fire Division will hold its annual open house on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pearl Street Fire Station. This is a family-friendly event to allow residents to explore the fire station, meet firefighters and learn more about how to keep their families safe at home and away.

Activities Include:

• Fire extinguisher demonstration at 10 a.m.

• Live fire demonstration at 11 a.m.

• Auto extrication demo at 11:30 a.m.

• Pancake & sausage breakfast (for a donation)

• Station tours

• Opportunity to operate a fire hose

• Explore fire trucks

• Watch the jaws of life at work

• Learn fire safety tips

The Pearl Street Fire Station is located at 1060 Pearl St. This event is free to attend, and no registration is required.

BGSU’s Day of Dialogue

The Division of Diversity and Belonging at BGSU will hold a Day of Dialogue on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community will come together to listen, talk and learn as active participants to attempt to address difficult issues.

This year’s theme is “The Power of Conversation” and features keynotes by Blaze Campbell-Jacobs, assistant dean of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and Sandra Faulkner, professor of Media and Communication. Interactive workshop sessions on key topics will immediately follow each keynote.

Milton Twp Fire District’s annual chicken BBQ

CUSTAR — The Milton Twp Fire District will host its annual chicken BBQ Sunday from 11 a.m. until gone.

It will be held at the Milton Township firehall, 22700 Mermill Road.

Dine in or carry out, meals are $12 each and include 1/2 chicken, baked beans, potato salad, applesauce and cookies.

Proceeds to go to Randy Spangenberg for medical recovery.
