Comets roll over Flyers, 60-32

MILLBURY — Genoa improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northern Buckeye Conference with a 60-32 victory over Lake at Lake Community Stadium Friday. Lake fell to 1-4 and 0-2.

For Lake, quarterback Carter Behlmer completed 32-of-50 passes for 367 yards, including 11 to Jay Blazevich for 84 yards and one touchdown and three to Brandon Darr for 82 yards and one TD.

Gavin Kohlhofer caught four passes for 73 yards, and Caleb Tobias caught three passes for 46 yards.

Preston Snyder had three catches for 37 yards and two touchdowns, David Parsons had six catches for 34 yards, and Ethan Bradfield had two catches for 11 yards.

Parsons led Lake’s rushing attack with 79 yards on 13 carries and one TD, Bradfield had 35 yards on seven carries and Julian Rodriguez had 24 yards on two carries.

Lake had 23 first downs to Genoa’s 22, but the Flyers had two turnovers on a fumble lost and interception.
