Perrysburg Homecoming Festival is Saturday

The Perrysburg Homecoming Festival and Parade is tomorrow.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and the event will run until 4 p.m. with food, arts vendors and live entertainment in Downtown Perrysburg. Six school district groups will be in the parade: DECA, Facility Dogs, Key Club, Pride Club, Perrysburg Schools Foundation and the Perrysburg Junior High School and Perrysburg High School marching bands.

The parade announcers will be PHS student Caleb Laytart and PJHS Principal Scott Buker.

There will be a Perrysburg Schools booth, which will be on the corner of Louisiana and Indiana avenues at the Commodore Schoolyard. The booth will have a raffle for a Perrysburg Schools mug as well as information about senior citizen activity passes, the alumni association, drama and more. In addition, there will be shaded seating for festival goers, coloring sheets and yard games, including Connect Four, Cornhole and Yardzee,

From 5-8 p.m., all Perrysburg Schools alumni, along with all community members, are invited to the 2nd annual Coming Home concert. Local band AmpWagon, featuring Perrysburg Schools teacher Doug Kollman, will be performing.

The Perrysburg Schools Alumni Association and the Perrysburg Schools Foundation will provide tents for Perrysburg High School graduates to visit with one another during the concert at the Commodore Schoolyard.

There is no cost to attend the concert, but registration is recommended.
