Rudolph woman killed in crash

CYGNET — A Rudolph woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday night on Cygnet Road in Bloom Township.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Whitacre, 20, was westbound when it drifted into the oncoming lane of travel.

It continued off the road and struck a guardrail and bridge.

Whitacre was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The crash was reported at 6:45 p.m.

Bloomdale Fire and EMS, Cygnet Fire, North Baltimore EMS and Or’s Towing assisted at the scene.

BG City Pool will be closed Saturday due to staffing complications

Due to an insufficient number of staff available this Saturday, the Bowling Green City Pool will be closed.

The City of Bowling Green Historic Preservation Commission will meet Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, first floor council chamber, 305 N. Main St.
