An electric bike used by a person with developmental disabilities has been reported stolen from in front of the owner’s home.

On Saturday at 6:38 p.m., Bowling Green police responded to the 400 block of South Main Street for a report of a theft.

The bike’s owner said he returned home Friday around 8 p.m. with groceries and when he woke up Saturday to ride the bike, it was gone, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The bike was valued at $200, according to the police report.

The owner told police he left the bike, described as a black/yellow Razor, on the sidewalk in front of his home. The red/black helmet also was taken.

He had purchased the bike recently and told police he had just saved enough money to purchase it.

He provided the officer with photos of the bike, according to the report.
