Dog days of summer

Thayer Chevrolet’s annual Dog Days of Summer event was Saturday at the dealership, 1225 N. Main St., in the parking lot and showroom.

A black Labrador puppy, who is looking for a home, tugs on shoelaces at the Dog Days of Summer event on Saturday.

Dog Days of Summer was centered around dog ownership, adoptions and fun.

People were invited to bring their dogs, meet dog-oriented vendors, and get lots of free pup treats and swag. A splash pad or pool was available to keep the dogs cool.

Dogs were be available for adoption.

There was also food, including hot dogs, available for their human owners. The event is rain or shine.
