PERRYSBURG — Wednesday at Woodlands concert series continues at noon with Johnny Rodriguez. Concerts take place in the Woodlands Park shelter area, 429 E. Boundary St.

Bring a chair or a packed lunch and sit at one of the many picnic tables in and around the shelter in both the sun and the shade.

Rodriguez has captivated audiences with his talent and approach to live performances since 1987. Armed with a 12-string acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica and digital drums, he weaves a musical tapestry as a “one man band” that strikes a chord with fans of all genres.

He thrives on spontaneity and interaction with his audience as he crafts his sets on the fly, catering to the preferences of his listeners and fostering an instant connection with his listeners. From classic rock to folk and blues, his sound echoes the influences of legendary artists like James Taylor, the Beatles, Neil Young, R.E.M., Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Buffet and Van Halen.

Rodriguez’s contributions to the local music scene extend beyond his regular performances. In 2013, he was prominently featured in the documentary film “Playing Nightly,” which showcased the careers of talented entertainers in the Toledo area.

The concert series is made possible through the support of the City of Perrysburg and the Norma Stark Memory Garden and Labyrinth. For more information send an email to [email protected] or text 419-902-2782.
