BG teen arrested for assault

A 17-year-old Bowling Green male was arrested for assault and trespass last week and taken to the juvenile detention center.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, Bowling Green police were dispatched to the 800 block of Eighth Street for a report of trespassing and assault.

According to the Bowling Green Police Division report, the alleged victim told officers she had been trying to break up with the teen for three weeks, but he would not leave her alone.

She took video of her encounter with the teen, which showed her run from her car to her apartment with him chasing her. He followed her into the apartment, and she told him numerous times to get out. The male reached for the phone and the video cut off, according to the report.

She told police he took her phone to delete the video them threw her to the hardwood floor, hurting her arm.

No obvious injury was seen on the woman, according to the report.

The teen was arrested at his home. He told police the woman wanted him to come over to talk. They went to her car, where she freaked out yelling at him, according to the report.

They then allegedly went into her apartment, he was told to sit down, and the female called him names, slapped his arms and punched him. He showed police scratches on both sides of his neck.
