Bicyclist struck, injured, in BG

A bicyclist struck by a car Sunday was taken to the hospital.

Shortly after 7 p.m., Bowling Green police responded to the 900 block of South Main Street where Jeremy Furden, 46, BG, had been riding his bike southbound on the sidewalk and then navigated across the driveway of a business.

Cherise Silvers, 29, BG, was southbound on South Main Street and attempted to turn eastbound into that business driveway.

Her 2011 Chevy Malibu’s front bumper struck Furden, who was taken by Bowling Green EMS to Wood County Hospital with suspected minor injury.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the Bowling Green Police Division crash report.
