BOOM: Fireworks light up the night in BG

The BG BOOM Festival and Fireworks lit up the Bowling Green skies on Monday and hundreds enjoyed inflatables, food trucks and music before the show.

The 30-minute show delighted the crowd, which sent up rousing applause and cheers in appreciation.

Before the fireworks, the midway at the Wood County Fairgrounds was packed with people playing games and lined up for funnel cakes, root beer floats, lemonade and kettle corn.

There were multiple inflatables, a corn maze, soccer darts, obstacle courses and basketball.

The Bowling Green Area Community Band, directed by Thom Headley, offered a selection of patriotic tunes in the Grove. The show was led by the Jazz Band, followed by the Community Band.

Crazy Craig Juggling performed his “Best Of” juggling show and made balloon animals.

The fireworks were launched around 10 p.m. from the Northwest Ohio Tractor Puller Association’s property. This display was extended this year to a 30-minute psychedlic show.
